Candace Matthews Regional President, The Americas at Amway Corporation
Candace Matthews unleashes her expertise on a global scale as the Regional President of the Americas at Amway Corporation, leading Amway’s four regions, overseeing sales, marketing, customer service and other functions. Matthews joined Amway in 2007 with a focus on beauty, nutrition and home brands; the Amway brand; digital and experiential marketing; corporate citizenship; public relations; and integrated marketing communications — she’s been driving the brand forward ever since. Prior to Amway, Matthews served as president of the SoftSheen-Carson Consumer Products Division of L’Oreal USA. In this role, she oversaw all company operations, including the merger of L’Oreal’s SoftSheen and Carson businesses. Matthews also was vice president of New Product and Package Innovation, managing director of Non-Cola Brands at the Coca-Cola Company; she also held senior marketing positions at the CIBA Vision Corporation; Bausch + Lomb, Oral Care Division; Procter & Gamble; and General Mills, where she began her marketing career. Matthews received a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering and administrative and management science from Carnegie Mellon University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University. She was cited as one of Advertising Age’s “Women to Watch” in 2011 and was named to the Black Enterprise magazine’s 2017 list of the “Most Powerful Women in Business.”
